Procurement

Supply Chains That Never Break

With established supplier relationships across continents and 780+ operating locations through our shareholders, we secure long-lead equipment on schedule and within specification.

Procurement Built on Relationships, Not Assumptions

In hyperscale data center construction, procurement is often the difference between on-time delivery and costly delays. Long-lead equipment like UPS systems, generators, medium-voltage transformers, and chillers can take months to manufacture and deliver. Our procurement team manages this complexity by leveraging established vendor relationships and a structured governance framework that tracks every item from technical approval through delivery.

Because our procurement team works alongside our engineers and construction managers, we can align equipment specifications with design decisions and installation sequencing in real time. Nothing is sourced in isolation.

How We Procure

Long-Lead Equipment Management

We identify, track, and expedite critical-path equipment from the earliest project stages. Our LLE tracker monitors every major item from technical proposal approval through vendor selection, purchase order, and delivery.

Vendor Prequalification

Every vendor undergoes technical and commercial evaluation before engagement. We prequalify suppliers based on their ability to meet project specifications, delivery timelines, and quality standards.

Logistics and Expediting

Our team manages logistics planning, delivery coordination, and on-site receiving to ensure materials arrive when and where they are needed. We plan around construction sequencing, not the other way around.

Global Reach, Local Execution

Through MasTec’s 780+ operating locations and Digitus’s regional presence, we access supplier networks that span continents. This reach allows us to source the right equipment regardless of where it is manufactured.

Procurement Governance

Every procurement decision follows a structured governance framework. Technical approvals, commercial evaluations, and purchase orders are documented and tracked to ensure compliance with project requirements and budget parameters.
